I’m so happy you found your way here.
I believe you are here because you are searching.
You are searching for something to fill the void; ease the ache; mend the melancholy that hovers over you like a dark cloud.
You’ve turned to food, work, shopping, wine, exercise, sex … but nothing fills that hollow feeling inside that keeps you awake at night. Nothing quiets that voice that constantly reminds you to “tone it down; tame your hair; be polite; don’t rock the boat!” You’re either too much or not enough.
You are seeking answers to questions you can’t quite articulate.
I have news for you – the answer you seek isn’t “out there.” It’s inside you, and it’s been there all along.
How do I know? I once stood where you are.
Like you, I was so tired of the shoulds in my life. I used to believe that I should be thinner, happier, richer, younger, smarter, funnier … in a word: Better. I believed I should be better than the woman I turned out to be.
Yet, what I really wanted was to throw off the yoke of “should” and be free. I was sick to death of goals and rules and plans and programs and wishes, all of which promised to help me “become the woman I was meant to be.”
To hell with what I was meant to be. I simply wanted to be happy in my own skin. I just wanted to be me. Flaws and all.
I used to believe I had nothing to offer, that I was unformed, naive, and helpless.
But not anymore.
My name is Karen Anderson. I practice radical self-love + self-acceptance because I KNOW that acceptance transforms.
I am living proof.
I help women like you turn their love inward and to accept and embrace the powerful + strong + capable + beautiful woman within. Through radical self-love, you will increase your power and strength, and put them to good use in the world.
I believe I am a shining example of what is possible for all women when they choose to accept themselves instead of thinking they can hate themselves to health/happiness/thinness.
I consider it my responsibility to practice, not preach! I demonstrate the power of taking imperfect action, and show you how being vulnerable is a strength, not a liability.
I rely on both/and thinking because I believe living a life in which opposing thoughts can be true is so much more vibrant than living a life bogged down by either/or thinking.
I stand for passion, doing it scared as hell, and laughing so hard my stomach hurts.
I am the real deal. I’m far from perfect, but am not afraid to expose my “core of rot,” and I often discuss my mistakes publicly.
What I’ve learned is that living my truth my way and sharing my insights and experiences with other women helps them learn radical self-love for themselves. In turn, they are empowered to do the same. Hey … it’s how world peace starts!
And that is why I became a coach. (Even though I spent a lot of time resisting my true calling. Did you know that resistance is actually the opposite of acceptance?)
Before I became I coach …
