“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts.” ~ Winston Churchill
“Don’t let the negativity given to you by the world disempower you. Instead give to yourself that which empowers you.” ~ Les Brown
“Always look for the best in people, for if you do you will find it. The looking creates what you are looking for; the way in which we behave when we look for the best produces a different result from the way in which we behave when we look for something else (like the worst). Quantum mechanics operates on the human scale, too.” ~ from Vivid

Thanks for your comment Karen, I found that article very interesting. So true that we do need to sometimes feel the pain even if we don’t want to. Loved all the quotes today, so true.

Bah, you also had a training-husband when you were 25. Lucky for us we upgraded, right?
Congrats on the award!

You, Karen, are beautiful! Thanks for the award :) Will post about it soon.
You’ve moved 25 times?! That’s crazy! And, total side note and irrelevant, was the Brazilian guy hot? Because I’m watching Brazil play in the World Cup right now and Kaka is drool worthy :)
And 17 years of writing about plastics. That’s interesting. I’m curious as to what you wrote about! Like…decomposition or make or price, etc. etc. So many things to learn!
LOL Jess…yeah, the Brazilian guy was hot.
As for plastics, I wrote mostly about the equipment used to process it into everything from flower pots and water bottles to teeny tiny electronics and automotive parts…plastics are everywhere!
LOL..yes, a training husband…but not even really that. There was no real commitment on his part…at all. He knew from the get-go it wouldn’t last.

Thanks for the award Karen!!! Sometimes this stuff is hard to put out there so glad it means something to others as well. I know your journey has helped me more than you possibly could imagine. I hope that’s what I’m doing in the process too.
I see the guidelines for accepting the award are to post the “Seven Things You Might Not Know About Me”. :)
Yep…and then pay it forward to however many bloggers you want :-)

At mayo with my youngest, on my new iPad, back to beginning of your blog, catching up on your history. My youngest had bells palsy after chicken pox at age 3 or 4, when I got to er with her, I sat her on reception desk and said she either is having a stroke or bells palsy, nurse looked around in confusion and asked who I meant and when I pointed to youngest, she ran for help, they had never had anyone that young in er with it, and ped neurologist later said it was from coolish pool water in her ear after pox
Interesting! My mother was told that it could have come from a cool breeze blowing on me. What I have since learned is the Lyme disease, not to mention viruses from the herpes family, are related. I had Lyme back in 2009 (although I am not sure how long I had it before I was diagnosed) and I have Epstein-Barr and the herpes virus that causes cold sores on my lips.
