“If I wasn’t afraid to feel __________________ I’d __________________.”

Dear you…

So often the reason you don’t…

Set the boundary…

Speak up for yourself…

Say no…

Say yes…

Do the thing you’re longing to do…

…is because you don’t want to feel an uncomfortable emotion in the future.

Guilt.

Shame.

Regret.

Those emotions are proof of one thing only: that you are human.

Expanding your capacity to feel and process your emotions (versus repressing them or reacting from them) is an act of profound self-trust (and most likely not something that was modeled for you).

At some point, it has to become a conscious choice (and practice) to trust yourself to feel uncomfortable emotions and know, not only will you not break, you can and will thrive.

Much, much love,

Karen

Reveal patterns. Heal shame. Transform legacies.

P.S. One way I remember is to practice and to surround myself with others who are also practicing. That’s why I created the Make It Real 2020 Transformational Book Club. Join us?
